House Of Kars 9121 Antique Way Manassas VA 20110January 5, 2016Dear [redacted], I This is regarding ID [redacted]. Sorry for the late response due to the holidays. My name is Sonny G[redacted], one of the owners of House Of Kars. My business partner Cristian F[redacted] sold the 2005 [redacted] to [redacted]...
[redacted] on 10-10-2015. The car was in good working condition. It did have a current VA inspection as well. The vehicle was sold AS IS from House Of Kars, However, she did purchase a two year extended service plan which would cover any Engine or Transmission issues. And no one really knows what caused the sunroof glass to fall off. But all the other claims she has made are baseless. When the vehicle was brought to our shop last week to diagnose the problems with the transmission, there was no transmission issues found. Based on my mechanic's experience, he feels she was driving on Manual Transmission Mode where you actually have to shift your gears rather than the Auto version, where it would switch gears automatically. To get a second opinion, when sent the vehicle to a transmission shop and they found no problems with the transmissoin. We Stand behind our vehicles when there are issues that we or the warranty company can take care of. But this complain is totally baseless and we have spent money and time to accommodate her needs where it was just user error. However, we did put her in touch with aa company who will help her with the sunroof glass issue. At this time we will not be giving a refund or doing any kind of exchange. April 1, 2015Dear [redacted],
My name is Sonny G[redacted] and I am the owner/partner of House Of Kars. We try our best to sell high quality used cars at reasonable prices. [redacted] came in to our dealership on August 27th 2014 to purchase the 2005 [redacted]. We had bought this...
vehicle from a local dealer only auction. I paid an extra fee for them to do a post sale inspection on the vehicle. It checked out with no problems. It also went through VA state Inspection with no problem. We sell all cars AS IS from House Of Kars because these are used cars with higher miles. Even though we do all these checks on every car, we just can't guarantee what will happen in the future. There are more than 2000 moving parts under that hood, anything can happen anytime. It's been over 7 months since he purchased the vehicle, [redacted] states it caught fire after 3 months having the car. Now, what happened in those 3 months, I do not know, I feel at Some point a customer needs to take responsibility of his own vehicle. The Lender did offer a 3/36k miles powertrain warranty on the car. However, it only covers the engine and transmission. [redacted] was aware of what the warranty covered. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do at this time. However, I do apologize for the inconvenience it has caused [redacted]. [redacted] was fully aware that the car was sold AS is and the warranty through the sender only covered Engine and Transmission. I am disclosing the AS IS documents that he signed as well. I hope this car put the complaint to rest. If there is any further questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.Warm regards,

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Although Sonny arrempted to accommodate the repair to the sunroof, the vehicle was left with the upholstery ruined. When dropped off by his people at the "referred mechanic" sonny's guys stapled the upholstery to the roof. The interior roof hangs down in the vehicle and I have to now pay someone to fix. A piece of sheet metal was screwed into the roof by the "referred mechanic" and the roof still leaks through the side of the roof. My complaints are not baseless. Although there was nothing wrong with the transmission, the noises and Studdering of the vehicle were due to two cracks motor mounts. Which could have easily been resolved prior to selling the vehicle. Due to the fact that the vehicle was purchased by me less than 24 hours before House Of Kars purchased from auction, that information should've been passed along. Sonny can say what he wants, I will still be dissatisfied with the service and professionalism I recieved from his company. Regards,
