Hotel on Rivington

Review: On early Sunday morning, Sept. **, I was attempting to enter a bar called Fat Baby on the Lower East Side. The bouncer said I cannot enter unless I check my guitar at the coat check across the street at Hotel On Rivington. I checked in my instrument/equipment with the Security Guard and was given a claim ticket. Twenty minutes later, I go back to the hotel (with claim ticket in hand) and the security guard says "I'm sorry, I gave, it to someone else." The story he told me was that someone came in soon after me, indicated that he knew me and asked to check his coat with my guitar. A few minutes later, the supposed thief came back for his coat and was given my guitar too.

Given the short span of time, I'm not entirely sure that my guitar was stolen. The police and I hypothesized its possible their is some kind of criminal activity or association going on between the staff at Hotel On Rivington and Fat Baby. I called the police at the time and they didn't help nor was I able to file a police report. Words cannot describe the pain and loss after losing my guitar. I'm a working musician and this was my #1. I feel like I lost a limb. Please, help me or help prevent something like this happening to anyone else. Thanks.Desired Settlement: I would like to be compensated for the the full value of my guitar, equipment stolen. and any additional losses incurred.
