They put a hold of $814.90 on my debit card without my consent only indicating that they would hold $300 and that it it would IMMEDIATELY by put on my card when we paid them. They have not released it although we have checked out and paid them in full for our very expensive and very inconvenient stay. They gave me bad information. They lied to me. They are holding my money hostage. My bank says they are holding my money and they have misinformed me about what they have done. My bank cannot help me.
Good Afternoon, thank you for sharing the information. Upon check in, we inform all our guests that their credit card will be placed on hold for room and taxes plus a one hundred dollar incidental hold per evening. When guests check out we charge for the amount due and if the hold that was placed was for more than the amount due then those remaining funds are released. If the payment totals more than the hold then naturally the hold goes toward that payment and it won't be returned. Holds can take anywhere from 7-10 business days to be returned to your card. Depending on your bank, they might be returned sooner or later. I hope that if there were funds to be released that your bank has done so by now. Thank you, Hotel Granduca Austin
They added an undisclosed charge, so called conservation fee when I checked out. Even though, I had booked the hotel thru a third party Priceline. I paid the priceline all the charges, taxes and fee. Neither priceline, or hotel notified me about any hidden charges or I would not have booked the hotel.
Please see attached the charges of $17/day for a total of $68
Mr. clearly signed the Hotel's registration card which states about the nightly Conservation Fee.
The Hotel has spoken with our partners at Priceline to insure they are clearly notifying all guests of this fee.
For this visit, we have adjusted $68 from Mr. bill and returned those funds to the American Express card.
We do apologize for any misunderstanding and need to advise that no further credits or adjustments will be issued.
