Horseless Carriage

Review: Horseless Carriage claims they repaired one ignition coil and one spark plug on our van. 3 months later the same diagnostic code came up and I took our van to a different repair shop. This mechanic stated that no ignition coils or spark plugs had ever been replaced. He stated this was easy to tell due to all the coils having the blue marks remaining and lined up showing they were original parts and had never been touched. I then called Horseless Carriage and they stated they did not remember which coil they replaced and hung up on me when I questioned them further. On the Horseless Carriage invoice there is no date of service, the wrong year for the van- they have down 2005 but the van is a 2008, no diagnostic codes and no detail as to which coil was replaced. The second mechanic stated Horseless Carriage must have only cleared the codes without replacing any parts. At the time of repair done by the second mechanic, 3 ignition coils and spark plugs came up on the diagnostic code and he recommended all coils and plugs be replaced which was performed. This is how he discovered he was working with all original parts. I now have all the parts in my possession.Desired Settlement: Horseless Carriage charged $222 for service and parts that were not performed. The second repair cost over $800 and I believe a case could be made that Horseless Carriage cover at least three coils and plugs that were probably the issue originally but we are only asking that they refund the $222 for work that was charged and not performed.
