Review: Contracted with HBD ([redacted])on 7 April for deck repairs and surfacing. Paid deposit for parts and materials with work to start immediately (have signed contract and receipt for deposit). Contractor has never commenced work and provided a litany of excuses. Emails have either gone unanswered or bounced. Phone messages have seldom been answered, but when he has answered, he always to begin tomorrow and then doesn't show. Feel we have been more than patient and no longer have any trust that the work will ever be initiated or completed and would not believe him no matter what he promises.If it helps, Honey Bdone is listed as a division of [redacted].Desired Settlement: Refund in full of $750 deposit. Remainder of $750 was to be paid upon completion.

I am rejecting this response because: THE LETTER REFERENCED IS NOT FROM THE BUSINESS ACCUSED OF THE MISCONDUCT!!!! YOU'VE GOT THE WRONG MAN. PLEASE READ IT AGAIN CAREFULLY.

The letter is from [redacted], President of [redacted], and is for me to use in my own claims re [redacted]. He kindly sent me a copy and called me to assure me that [redacted] was no part of this affair. He clearly states that [redacted] is not an employee of [redacted] and that [redacted] is being fraudulently used as a "front" by [redacted] and Honey Bdone. When I talked to [redacted] ([redacted]), he was angry that [redacted] was misrepresenting himself as a [redacted] employee and illegally using a [redacted] contractor ID number. He stated has filed his own charges against [redacted] for these actions.
