All of our cars go through an inspection process prior to offering the vehicle for sale.
We did not have the opportunity to inspect the...
brakes, in our service dept., after this customer stated hearing a noise.
However as goodwill, we are offering to settle this complaint by paying the customer $200.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 11, 2015/07/07) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Thank you for the response. I am happy with the settlement but would like to include that it wasn't practical for me to drive 150 miles back to the dealership where I purchased my car to have a noise looked at when I could have done a lot more damage in the drive. I am not local to Palm Desert so I took it to the nearest Honda dealership. Thank you again for the response.
Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 17, 2016/01/20) */
Purchased two cars from this location. Most recent (purchased in 2014) had brake issues directly related to maintenance not doing their job. Bolts were not screwed in which caused disc damage and possibility of losing a tire on the freeway. I replaced the discs at $600 repair price and this dealership said they would provide $200 of the cost. It's been almost a year and I have not received the check to cover my cost which they said they would. The owner of this dealership should be ashamed for not living up to what was said; business etiquette is nothing if the final process doesn't go through. We paid for two vehicles from here in full in the last 9 years and won't be doing it again. I'm still waiting for my partial rebate for the cost I made after paying off a car in full.

Honda of the Desert will send Consumer $200.
