This unit was purchased on 08/23/2014. On 10/13/2014, it was brought in for a mile service to be completed and was also noted to check body cover not fitting properly. The body cover was re-installed at this time to assure proper fitting. Mr*** was still not happy with the
appearance of the front rack/body cover and felt it was still not a proper fit. As per policy, he was referred to American Honda Motor Company, Incto appeal their decision of warranty on this fitment. At the time Mr*** contacted American Honda Motor Co., Inc., which is the manufacturer and warrantor of the product, it was referred to the area DSR (District Service Rep.), *** ***, who contacted Mr*** to arrange a time at Mr*** convenience to examine the unit and determine if this is a defect and covered by warranty. Mr*** stated to Mr*** that he was unable to arrange a time and didn't want to bring it back until after deer season. No further contact was made by Mr*** until March 3, 2015. As soon as he made contact with our service manager, *** Byrd, he was informed that as soon as American Honda's DSR, Mr***, could meet with him, we would call him back *** contacted the DSR, *** ***, to get a time for Mr*** to meet with Mr***. As American Honda Motor Company's DSR for three states, Mr*** is trying to work this into his schedule. As far as refusal to pick up this unit for Mr***, American Honda Motor Co., Incplainly states in their Warranty Booklet that "You should, at your expense, take: Your Honda TRX and your warranty registration card or other proof of purchase to any authorized Honda dealer during service hours." Warranty does not cover pior delivery of units. I assure you that we are working as diligently and quickly as possible to resolve this. However, as only the provider of the warranty work, we do not have the authorization to determine if this is a warranty covered item or not. We are bound by American Honda Motor Co., Incfor final determination
