Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2016/01/19) */
Hello,
We have been able to retrieve the vaccination records. I have been in contact with you regarding our ongoing progress in our efforts, and have offered to have [redacted] revaccinated through us at no cost to you. As stated on your adoption...
form, [redacted]'s heartworm treatment was done through [redacted] Vet Clinic. If you would prefer, you may accept a refund of $50 toward the revaccinations and go to [redacted] in Golden Valley to have them done for that cost, or use the $50 to cover your cost at your vet.
As for state sales tax, it is State Law that we need to pay sales tax on all our adoptions. Would love it if you would share your disappointment with the state that a 501c3, non-profit Rescue group providing dog adoption services for homeless dogs has to pay a fee on our services, along with all the other costs incurred in keeping these dogs alive and providing all their medical costs. Besides [redacted]'s spay, routine vaccinations, deworming and heartworm test, the heartworm treatment alone cost us $400. Her adoption fee didn't even cover half of the amount of cost to us, but we felt she was well worth it.
If you would like HB to send you a rebate check to re-do her vaccinations, please contact us.
Thank you.
Cheryl Adams
