Homestead Financial Mortgage

We worked with a loan officer there a few years ago for a refinance. Everything seemed to be going fine until I asked him to explain the closing numbers because I was having hard time matching up the numbers on the statement to the money we were told we would have to pay. He became so rude and insulting and threatened to cancel with title company and that we would be on the hook for even more money and not be able to close. We ended up closing begrudgingly and I told him that I never wanted to hear from him or his company again as we were deeply unhappy with the way things went in the end. We never even got so much as an apology. He then has the audacity to contact us for repeat business as if nothing was ever said and only shows their complete lack of attention to our comments and their complete insensitivity. We have twice told him never to contact us and to remove us from their contact list. Terrible customer service, and only cares about getting money in the pocket.

This company harasses people who don’t wish to be contacted with unwanted telemarketing calls. A call to request removal from their calling list is met with rude and insulting remarks from their supposed manager. Requests to comply with state and federal laws regarding telemarketing go unanswered. Next step is a lawsuit in small claims court for repeated TCPA violations.

Do not recommend. We worked with Anthony *** for over half a year. Did everything that was asked or us to build credit, including paying off debt and opening lines of credit. It worked and my credit score shot up in just six months then when I could actually qualify for a loan it takes them almost three months to get verification of my past employment. Communication stopped. I'd email, call, or text and it would be days before getting a response and most of the time I'd have to send more than one message to even get a response. Completely unprofessional. If you want business then you have to actually serve your customers and in a timely manner. I was constantly just wondering and waiting. He's a super nice guy, but terrible business and so I ultimately went with someone else for the loan that got it done a lot faster.

This company has helped my daughter with the purchase of her first home. The agent she used offered some numbers of lenders and asked if this company's lender could call her to help with getting her approved. The lender was very responsive and didn't mind taking the time to go over everything she needed to begin to look for her home. *** was so patient and if he didn't answer right away he returned her calls as soon as he could. Her agent was amazing as well, great team. She is completely thrilled with her new home!

Our recent refinance attempt with Homestead Financial Mortgage couldn't have gone worse. They put an 80 year-old widow, who met all requirements, through hell. It was just one lie after another.
