I had a wonderful experience with this company during a horrible situation. They were timely, professional, and their work was clean and the finished product was beautiful. My home looks great!
Home Pro Fire and Water Restoration was a life saver in my contracting world. They are very dependable, loyal to the customer, loyal to the job, and committed to the home owner being satisfied. I trusted this company in my home even in my absence because of the honesty that was developed. I will definitely recommend this company to anyone if you are looking for "Top of the line" contracting needs.
I discovered a underground burst pipe that caused major water damage to my basement. The hardwood floors were destroyed. Home Pro took care of everything in a timely manner & got my home back in perfect condition within no time. The staff was very professional, on time and helped ease my frustrations. I would highly recommend Home Pro!!! If I ever need anything similar my first call will be to Mr. Wilkes.
I had a frozen water pipe burst in January 2014 that did much damage to my house. The large water restoration company sent by my insurance dehumidified but did nothing to my floors which insurance told me to refinish if possible. My floor contractor could and did refinish under the assumption the floors had been properly dried. For the next three years I had issues with floors cupping that had every contractor I had in scratching their heads. I assumed I had a humidity issue and put in a new HVAC, new insulation, and new dehumidifier and then my floors and ceilings started cracking. I called my insurance company and the field rep that was sent out told me it was summer in Alabama, floors cup and ceilings crack, his were doing it too; it had nothing to do with the water line break. After another year of my house deteriorating, I decided to hire a water restoration company and picked Homepro Fire and Water off the Revdex.com list. Mr. came out and metered from one end of the house to the other and found I had water trapped in my floors from the water line break three years earlier. After contacting my insurance company and previous water restoration company, it was discovered my hardwood floors were supposed to have been pulled up and their records indicated it had been done. My floors have now been pulled up, the subfloor dried out (by Homepro) and new floors put down, quite grudgingly by the insurance company. All that to say that from where I stand, Mr. looks like a genius. He diagnosed what no one else had been able to and did all the insurance company required. He showed up when he said he would, was always professional, pleasant and courteous (as were his coworkers) and most importantly, he knew his business! He responded to my phone calls and questions and was always a good sport regarding the hoops he was asked to jump through by the insurance company. He solved my floor dilemma that resulted in correction of the problem. My experience with this company was all good.
