We started our master bedroom and bathroom remodel to our river front home on October 14, 2019. As of today, we can finally say we are 99% complete. The quality of work from Homewreckers was average at best and unfortunately, did not meet expectations. Lackadaisical craftsmanship, improper installation techniques of materials, and poor planning were the main issues. On several occasions we had to intervene to save Homewreckers from making costly mistakes and request numerous items to be redone or corrected. Attempts were made to correct the deficiencies but, it became very apparent that "Chad" (owner) was more interested in masking the problems instead of doing it right. In the end, Homewreckers agreed upon a reduced final payment in order to part ways amicably. We used that money to hire a skilled and talented carpenter referred to us by another contractor to correct several major issues. Fortunately, we came in under budget but as the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for."

Homewreckers claims to do roofing, windows, kitchens, flooring, etc, in addition to entire home remodels. Our review strictly refers to the work done on our master bedroom and bathroom remodel and not any other of their claimed construction capabilities. I truly believe the owners of Homewreckers mean well and the employees tried their best. Going forward, they need to thoroughly understand what the home owner's expectations are and the capabilities of their employees. When it comes to remodels I believe Homewreckers would be well suited for someone wanting a basic remodel, flipping a home or refreshing their property in preparation for sale. They say they could do anything, which for the most part is theoretically true, but the question is, what caliber of craftsmanship is acceptable to you?
