Home Safety Services [redacted] Drive Date 12/20/16StPeters,MoID [redacted] Revdex.comDispute Resolution DepartmentI was contracted by [redacted] to go out and try to find out why [redacted] 's scooter battery gauge was not working [redacted] told me the batterygauge was not working from the first day they had the scooterHe waited beyondthe warranty of one year to file a claimBy doing so the parts that would havebeen covered under the warranty were not covered.I called technical service at [redacted] for assistance to take the upper and lowerconsole apartAfter taking the console apart I found a wire that was not solderedto the boardThis wire was the cause of the battery gauge not workingThis partwas defective and I asked [redacted] to ask [redacted] for a new replacementconsoleHe called [redacted] and they told him the parts were no longer covered that [redacted] had waited to long and he would have to pay for the console.Thomas asked if I would be willing to solder the part back to the boardI told himno I would not do thatThe only way I would fix the console is by replacing theentire console.If the part would have been provided I would been able to replace the entirepart and part would have had a year warranty against defectsBecause themanufacture, the dealer who sold the scooter nor the customer were willing toprovide the part I decided not to take the risk of further damage to the scooterand had the customer send the part to the dealer for repair.I have been asked to reimburse the customer for $I did what I could tohelp the [redacted] 's , the problem as I see it is under conditions during thatfirst year any defects in workmanship would have been taken care ofI was askedto make a repair that was not a warranty repair.I suggest that the [redacted] 's contact the company that sent me out on the call andthey will go over his warranty with him.Xmed Repair Plus [redacted] Cell [redacted] ***Partner/ Home Safety Services
