We hired Frank to help us assist in the purchase of a home that had been partially vacant. We were under the assumption that he would check the major appliances within the house and make sure they were working. We paid him $365 (included water test) and moved into the house. When we moved in we then found that the furnace did not work, the microwave wasn't functioning properly, refrigerator/freezer had a leak, dishwasher had issues, and water heater needed replaced. We then went to take a bath and when pulled the plug in the tub it was not even attached to the tub at all! The sinks all were broken as well when you went to plug the drain the plug wouldn't go down. Now maybe many of these things were "our" fault for not going thru the house and literally using everything but I was under the assumption that is why we paid him. When we called him to tell him of these items he said "Well, when I turn them on it worked" I specifically said for the furnace did you feel heat come out? "Well no, but it kicked on." So in October, we were without heat for 3 days until a repairman could come in. His other comment was, well you have the home warranty so you'll just need to pay the deductible. I did not hire you to tell me to pay the $100 deductible on each item.. we were out a lot of money right out of the gate just to be able to live there. Would highly not recommend!
