Review: I hired Home First Mortgage for modification of my property which was under water. I paid $500 at front as required and my property was reprocessed. The bank was never notify about the modification. If Home First Mortgage was not able to do the modification under any circumstances , I was supposed to be notify. They lied to me till the end. Each time I called I was told the modification is going well. Before my property was reprocessed I was told the the file is underwriter where as the bank never knew about the modification. Each month I faxed the mortgage statement, my pay check and bank statement.Desired Settlement: I lost my property . It was income property. I lost so much income. I have bad credit. I want Home First Mortgage to pay for all my damages.

I apologize for the negative experience you

had with our company five years ago. Since there was so much time that has

passed, it did take some time to properly investigate what actually transpired

and I believe it's important to clear up and address your comments.

You did pay Home First $500 on June 26th

2009. At that time it was legal to charge money up front for Loan Modification

services. SB 94 was not put into law until October of 2009. Home First chose to

only charge a processing fee of $500 up front with the remaining amount of

$3000.00 due if or when we completed the modification. Your accusation of Home

First never even submitting or notifying the bank for a loan modification is

completely false. We have documented phone calls and e-mails that prove otherwise.

Home First was never dishonest with you. Besides it being unethical, there

would be NO advantage for Home First to lie to you about your Loan Modification

progress.
