I want to thank you for calling me and taking the time to send this email and take my information.
I wanted to give you the back ground.
We were contacted by the seller to make repairs to the home that [redacted] and her boyfriend were buying.
We gave the estimate to the seller for the work...
asked to be repaired by [redacted] in an inspection response
The seller hired us to do all the work on the list which took two days.
The buyer [redacted] had all the work re inspected and was all approved by her inspector including the chimney repairs that
are in question.
I got a call from [redacted]'s boyfriend that they had a roofer come out and look at a roof leak they had, this was not
brought up by there inspector, The roofer they called out said they needed a new roof and flashing
Her boyfriend called me and I came over and looked at the chimney and the flashing and I told him it looked fine
and I would warranty all my work for two years and it was only required one year by the state.
and I would look at the invoice for the work to see what we did and were asked to do.
We installed a new masonry chimney cap and resealed the counter flashing, At the time I was there
with him I explained that there was sealant all over the flashing which was previous, that we installed
additional to make sure it was sealed and approved by there inspector before closing.
I have since gone back out and inspected there roof and flashing for free and told them that
they do not need a new roof and was noted by two other roofing companies. I did tell
her that there are two areas where the dormers meet the main part of the roof and that is where
she was having animals come in. I took pictures and sent them to her. I also told her as a
gesture of good faith that I am a reputable contractor and integrity that I would make those
repairs for free. She was very thankful and that is it.
I will forward the emails from her and me about the finished work
Please let me know if you need anything else, Thank you for your time
Thank you,
