As you read the horrible reviews that have been posted already, I have the exact same story, including breach of contract. Great and friendly int he beginning, then they flip-the-script, that's including the owner's slandering verbiage via email and a super making me feel like an it as well. The workers they hire are not employees of this company, even though that's what they tell you at the start, they're sloppy, zero attention to detail and lack of finesse. When your spending $30K for a bathroom remodel, it should certainly look like a $30K remodel. Just a few things that I've been through with this company. they had to rip out my pebble floor they put in my shower because it wasn't laid right, it looked like they just tossed the pebble tiles in without caring what it look like. I had to fight with them, including the owner (Brandon) to have them remove it and start over. Doing so, they tore through the mortar of the entire pan when they pulled up the pebble tile, so they had to rebuild it before reinstalling the pebble properly. I have no idea if they even sealed the pan before they laid the new pebble down, and they certainly didn't seal the pebble tiles because you can literally scratch out the grout/caulking with your finger nail. There's also two different colors of grout/caulking between the tiles in the shower and the entire bathroom floor. They told me it was due to it being too hot in our bathroom when they did the tile and cured too quickly...it was spring and 73 degrees in the bathroom, plus I had a fan going as well. I was also told it was due to the 'lighting' in the bathroom...are you kidding me? The super was over with his assistant and he told his assistant to go to Home Depot and pick up a halogen light. While we waited for him to come back, the super shuts off my bathroom light and asked me to step into the shower as he turned on his cell phone light. He ran his light up and down the grout lines and asked me if I saw a difference in the color. I was completely disgusted. And because I'm a woman, he apparently felt he could get away with lying to me and treating me like I'm an it. Guess what, I'm not looking at the grout by a cell phone light! My husband had another contractor (not associated with HHI) come over and he noticed everything, including the two colors of grout/caulking. When the assistant came back, he shined it on the floor...it had a yellow hue along with a blue hue around the white light. At this point I'm literally rolling my eyes at these guys. I told them it all needs to be redone. He then tells me that they need to do a 'grout test' and I would need to sign off on it. At this point I was dealing with their attorney who I emailed and told her, "No grout test, because they won't get it right, just put in black because you can't screw up black." Instead, they went against their attorney and their paying client (me), and did the grout test anyway. I signed off on it praying they would do it right, they came back to my home and did nothing but remove a broken tile they busted, didn't grout it and just left my house without doing or saying anything. Not to mention the mess they left outside of my house. I sent three text messages to the super to find out if he was coming back the next day to take care of the grout in the shower and bathroom floor (I gave them a deadline of 7-21-23) which was the next day, he never answered, and was not completed. I also made them rebuild my shower bench due to pooling; they sent a painter over to fill in two holes under the vanity lights which he filled in, skip troweled it but didn't smooth it out, just painted over it; painter hung a mirror/medicine cabinet and it's tilted to the right. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! Their philosophy on their website is a lie and shouldn't be on there website at all. Don't make the same mistake I did and hire them!
