After heart Ablation surgery with Awesome Dr Ken Lee I was taken to floor
and put onto bed. Cannot move or get up so Will is used. Told RN wasn’t working right. Nothing. AC not working right-old building so they say it’s either hot or freezing. Very uncomfortable, wet, and freezing. Haven’t eaten for 24 hrs so ask RN when is dinner? At around 6:30. Gets me cup of water. Husband leaves at 7pm and I call nurse ask about dinner “what you did not get dinner” says she will check… I call back and she says they haven’t got anything kitchen closed. Can I get something I’m starving. I’m also diabetic, on heart diet and full of drugs including Fentanyl. Stomach hurts and food will help. Not to mention water, etc. But no, 5 cups of water and one cup ice for entire 24 hr stay. Asked for ginger ale and or water, ice every time someone came in. They just ignored except those 6 styrofoam cups full. The head RN Sharon brings me a Lean Cuisine turkey dinner. Too salty. Apples are good. Eat them but still hungry. They do not care. At 7:45pm I call and tell them my compression bandage for my growing has to come off. They say they are with other patient doing the same thing… finally take it off and I ask to use restroom. They put belt on me and I go. I no longer lay in pee as they remade my bed. The next 4 or 5 times I call for asst. as alarm on bed and HAVE to have RN help they send CNN and she just lets me get out of bed and go on my own. No belt. Only once when RN Khang came in that morning did he insist on the belt. Can’t wait to leave. Now 6 amand ask for ginger ale. Nothing happens. They say you’ll get out by 8 am. Where’s breakfast I AM STARVING. They run late should be here soon. Almost 9 am it comes. It’s good. But RN and CNN come to unhook me and prepare to leave. But I say comeback I would like to eat my food.
Nurse on the floor only. Not prep or surgery just the ones you need afterwards were inattentive, rude, unfriendly, very,very forgetful, uncaring, etc I could go on. ALL shifts. All people. Never ever got the diet ginger ale. No apologies for anything. They did not give me my Cancer pill my PM Rx. Argued they gave me a cough RX. It was horrible.
It started off bad when they were prepping me and I told them I just did Labs at Quest and they were having trouble and had Cardioversion and they used Ultrasound. Nope. First nurse tries in top of hand.Fishing around.No good. Gets head RN and it’s worse. She is determined she can do it now on the top of arm. Have a blood blister still there a week later. Finally go get Ultrasound. No problem. Why don’t they listen? I knew then it would not be good.
I waited a couple days to call to complain but no one there as it is Sunday. Took my info said someone would call but they don’t. Figure they are getting bombarted with complaints so I call today. Friday. A week later. Same crap. Leave a message.
I will follow up Monday. Then contact whomever is over hospital, Health First, etc
Funny. I always get a Survey after my stays but Not this time. I have had 3 conversions, 9 Cardioversions, double
Mystectomy, hysterectomy, and always a Survey with Good. Sometimes excellent. But not that stay. Not that floor or staff.
I hope I can go to a different hospital for next procedure but probably not. But it will be different the next time. I will not, cannot be treated like that. I have angiety just thinking of having to go to Holmes Regional Hospital

On 3/I had a heartache hospital is not following up with insurance and after speaking to them they keep billing me instead of fl blue on 3/I had a heartacttack at home ambulance brought me to closest hospital holmes regional I have [redacted] after a few weeks received bill for $they have contacted insurance but are coming after me for balance I understand that since it was emergency that the hospital and insurance need to work it out They are ruining my credit now
