They put me off with various excuses for 9 weeks, apparently hoping I would give up. As it turns out, in the unlikely event that you can get them to honor their "100% satisfaction guarantee," they issue a merchant credit without shipping costs.
So to get any compensation whatsoever for my lost time and money, I'm being FORCED to do even more business with them? Gimme a break.
Holland Bulb Farms will remain forever on my "do not buy" list.
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are the worst I have ever ever used. For anything.
Actually, a ZERO is my rating.
Poor quality tulip bulbs which never bloomed. The plant came up but the flowers were all dead. My other bulbs that I bought from Lowe's and planted at the same time bloomed beautifully.
ABYSMAL customer service! I asked for a refund and for an extra bag of bulbs for my time and efforts. AT THE CORPORATE LEVEL I was talked down to by the customer service manager and told the following: (mostly blame the victim kind of stuff)
1. I'm in a zone where they sometimes don't grow well...(WHY DO THEY SELL TO ME
IN THIS ZONE THEN?) I've successfully grown tulips in this "zone" for many years.
2. received a lesson/lecture in gardening. (I am an accomplished gardener & have never had
problems growing tulips, except this year when I ordered from Holland Bulb Farms.)
3. I should have read the website. (Like all consumers do, I suppose.)
4. I'm the kind of person that likes to get something for nothing out of businesses.
(Hmmmm... never even met this lady and she believes she knows me. Weird!?)
5. Since I "threatened" her, she'll reimburse me and throw in an extra bag. (Didn't happen,
just told her that I had no other recourse than to write a bad review.)
Don't WANT extra of your bad product! Don't want to deal with your HORRIBLE customer service operators ever again!
Hey HOLLAND BULB FARMS...you missed an opportunity to keep a life-long customer and to get a great review by making a customer happy. Was a bag or two of bulbs really worth it?
WE OWN A BUSINESS and are very successful because we do EVERYTHING WE CAN to keep our customers happy. It's CUSTOMER SERVICE 101.

I cannot live without flowers, and I order from several companies. Last fall I discovered Holland Bulb Farms while browsing online. EVERY order I have received from them is of the highest quality. The bulbs I have ordered almost burst out of their "skins" to grow thick, lush and beautiful!
The size and quality of ALL the bulbs and plants I have received from Holland Bulb Farms is without peer. Customer service is OUTSTANDING! And that, in today's world- is crucial. SIX STARS, Holland Bulb Farms! In me- you have a customer for LIFE!

Then why did you only rate them as the lowest level?
Holland Bulb Farms is an excellent business. Their prices are very fair. If there is a problem with an order, they will right it that day!
Review: I purchased bulbs in January and I didn't know I needed to place them in soil. There was 2 feet of snow of the ground. If I would have known I would have
placed them in soil. Now the bulbs are so far gone there is nothing I can do.Desired Settlement: I just would like new bulbs please.

We see that you contacted us in regard to this matter on April 7th, and our customer service representative was simply following our 100% grow guarantee http://www.hollandbulbfarms.com/guarantee.asp . It is hard for us to provide a guarantee on something that was not given the chance to grow, as they were not able to be planted. However, we are an understanding company and now know that you were not aware of the time they needed to be planted. Even though it will be breaking our guarantee policy, we would be willing to issue a merchandise credit for the value you are asking for $29.99, which is the value of this order.
