I feel that what the hotel responded was rude and attacked me as a customer with the story that I didn't respond on their standards when I explained to them that I was really busy with life at that timeI also believe as a member of IHG I shouldn't have to have these issues

We are in receipt of your recent communications from our prior guest Mr. [redacted] and thankyou for the opportunity in allowing us to provide a response and explanation of the events asthey occurred.Guest first reported lost item day before check out and at that time our housekeeping staff was informed...

and indicated they didn't have the item in their possession nor had they seen it. We relayed this information back to the guest. The next day, in the late afternoon following guest's check out we received a walk in person from Grand Avenue who brought the item to theCounter as they had found near the sidewalk adjacent to our parking lot as they were walking in front of the hotel. Front Desk staff contacted guest at this point to describe item and guest came to hotel to claim and retrieve item. We can honestly say there was no wrongdoing by anyof our employees and always take all guest matters seriously.We previously made a few attempts to contact guest to discuss matter further, first being April 7, 2017 by phone message and final was an email sent to guest on June 6, 2017 in which therewas no response from guest to either.
