Review: I reserved a room for the night of Sep 15 and was quoted price of $114. Provided a credit card at that time. Arrived to charge of $149. Then...

When I called to reserve the room, I specifically provided my credit card to hold the room. When I arrived, I was told that I had not provided a credit card and that the room was not available. I let them know that I did indeed provide a credit card. The attendant helping me did not reply, but simply walked away for a few minutes, then came back and said the room would be $149. I told them I was quoted $114 over the phone. At that time she said she could go as low as $129. Not having any options that late at night, I went ahead and signed for a charge of $129, but I contend that it was under duress, and I should have been charged $114. The experience was ridiculous and Holiday Inn was acting in a predatory manner, upping my charge at the last minute when there was no other option for me, even though I had previously provided a credit card and agreed to a lesser amount.
