Booked hotel for 10 days at government rate. At checkout I was charged what ever they wanted to charge. Changed reservation to military appreciation. Tried to contact to sort out things. All I got was a email saying that the bill was correct. This happened to me and several other employees working under me. This is a ***.
I was charged a higher rate than what I booked.
All 5 rooms were booked by themselves on different dates and were booked using different discounts. 3 of the guests booked the rooms themselves using an app on there phone. Some guest booked a member rate discount while some booked a military leisure discount. The discounts are a % off of our best rate and that is why the 5 rooms had different totals. There were only 2 rooms that were truly booked at a government rate of 94.00 and these 2 rooms booked at an earlier date when that discount was still being offered. The hotel has not changed any rates or has not made any fraudulent charges. The guests were booked at the rate and discount that they booked themselves. These guests have called our corp office and they have found no fraudulent charges or changes by the hotel at all. I have explained this to all guest in the group as well. We always offer discounted rates but there are times some discounts and rates are not offered during event weekends, etc. The week of stay was an event week and some discounts were simply not available to the guests that booked at a later date. The hotel offers many discounts and we honor any and all discounts that are booked by our guests. We have been in contact with the guest and we have come to a compromise.Thank you
The manager has contacted me and corrected all charges. We ended on good terms. This could have been avoided if contact and corrections came sooner. Thanks. I'm I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
