After giving them a slam-dunk case, I received a check from them yesterday about one year after giving them my case. I was pleasantly surprised to finally receive a communication from them and eagerly opened the envelope, expecting to see about half of the $9,000 amount expected. Instead, the amount of the check made out to me was $00.00 (zero). I am shocked at the amount and the fact someone would actually make out a check for zero dollars and sign it as though this is a payment of some sort. I deeply regret letting them collect my debt and I will be pursuing this matter through various channels.
Review: I engaged HK Recevory Group Inc., to collect on a judgement. I was notified by their representative [redacted] that they received an initial payment in my collection case. She told me that the funds would be deposited in their account and that I should receive a check within two weeks. This was in November of 2013. I spoke with her again in December at that time she told me that [redacted] from the accounting department handles the payments and she gave me [redacted]'s direct line. I have left several messages for [redacted] over the last 4 weeks and have not received a return call.Desired Settlement: The arrangement made by HK Recovery Group Inc., which I accepted was to have the debtor make payments of $300.00/month until paid. I can only assume that they have been receiving these payments. I have not been able to reach [redacted]. I originally checked their rating with Revdex.com when I received a solisitation from HK Recovery Group Inc., and hired them based on your rating. So far not too happy with them.

Response:
Dear [redacted]
Please treat the email as our response to complaint ID#[redacted].
We had retained the Law Firm of [redacted] to assist in the enforcement of a judgment forwarded to us by [redacted].
Final settlement of the judgment was remitted to the above law firm on 1/*/2014. The policy of the law firm is not to release the funds until they receive a fully executed Satisfaction of Judgment from the plaintiff.
A satisfaction of judgment was mailed to [redacted] by HK Recovery Group on 1/*/2014.
This satisfaction has yet to be returned and a second copy was e mailed to [redacted] on 2/**/2014.
The person [redacted] called, [redacted] is an employee of the Law Firm of [redacted] and as such is beyond the control of our company.
However in the interest of customer service we had asked that the Law Firm waive the requirement of a fully executed satisfaction and release the funds to [redacted], which they did on 2/*/2014.
We have verified that [redacted] has received the funds from [redacted].
Here at HK Recovery Group, Inc we take our Revdex.com rating very seriously and would like instructions on how [redacted] can withdraw his complaint.

Response:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.
Sincerely,
I'm not sure what these guys are actively doing to collect my judgements. I need to track down the debtors and tell HK. I need to do all the follow up. It's been 2 years and I haven't collected a dime on any of my 3 judgements. I think they sign their name to the judgement and sit back and hope for the best. The get paid in 90 days statement is a joke. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HK RECOVERY GROUP Inc if you want to get paid.
I have felt the same way about needing to regularly reach out to them for any sort of communication to occur. Even when I finally received payment of zero dollars from them, there was no explanation enclosed -- just a check made out to me for zero dollars.
