Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2017/10/07) */
We apologize that this guest was unhappy with their stay at Historian Inn. We take extreme measures to ensure Customer Service.
In answer to this guest's complaint about being denied a handicapped room, this is incorrect. This guest booked and...
paid for a 2nd floor balcony regular king room through an online agent. This type of room does not include a first floor handicap room. However, we make every effort to accommodate those with special needs, based upon availability. Unfortunately, because we were sold out, all of our first floor rooms were booked and occupied at the time of this guest's arrival.
Secondly, just because our parking lot was empty, that does not mean we were not sold out. Many of our guests leave for the day to partake in events throughout the area and return at night.
Lastly, as explained to the guest, the $200 hold was placed the guest's credit card for incidentals and as a damage deposit. If there are no charges, these holds get dropped off at midnight on the day of check out by the hotel automatically. As stated to the guest several times, it can take up to 10 business days for the bank to post the credit and or to release the hold back to the guest's account. However, it appeared that the guest was expecting this to happen instantly.
We hope this answers the guest's concerns, and that they now have their $200 refund credited back to their account.
