Review: In 2011 I bought a new transmission for my work rig for about $1,300.00. The transmission came with a 3 year or 100,000 mile warranty. It never performed correctly. Sometimes it will sift and sometimes it won't. Sometimes it will go into park, and sometimes it won't. When parking on a hill, my 70 year old wife has to block the wheels while I hold down the brake. I do feel this is a safety issue, as well as a problem for my business, as this is the only vehicle used to transport our tools to various jobs around the county. The company who built the transmission has told the mechanic they will stand behind it (whatever that means). Mr. Hill, the proprietor and mechanic, wants to replace the transmission with a rebuilt. In February 2013 Mr. [redacted] said he would call when the rebuilt was ready but I am still waiting.I feel Mr. Hill been putting me off for when he will do this work. I don't want a rebuilt transmission as I paid for a new one. The time frame of getting this issue resolved has been dragging on too long considering it should have been dealt with months ago. Thank you for any help you can give me in this matter. Sincerely,[redacted]Desired Settlement: I am in the middle of my busy season so ideally I would like to have a NEW transmission installed in one day so I can continue to serve my clients in a timely manner. Had this been taken care of in the winter, the time frame would have been much different.
