Review: On April 18, 2015, I purchased what was thought to be a rebuilt transmission. Responded to an ad on Spokane Craigslist under auto parts. The ad read as this: New rebuilt turbo 350 with new converter 2 or 4 wheel drive with 12-mo 12k warranty $500 installation available. When purchased, employee said he couldn't find receipt book, so wrote up a bill of sale. After the fact there is no date of purchase noted on the receipt. I have tried to contact business owner, [redacted], numerous times because on my return home on inspecting with flashlight found the pump drive was chewed up, there was dirt and debris within transmission. I had an expert transmission guy do an inspection and this transmission wouldn't have even of worked. Owner has ignored my e-mails, phone calls. I paid $450 cash. No sales tax was charged either. I asked for a refund and owner has not responded, it has almost been a month. Now I am paying out of pocket to have this transmission rebuilt as it should have been. I should have been suspicious when there was no true receipt written up and no sales tax collected.Desired Settlement: I believe that a $300 refund would be fair since I kept the core to have it rebuilt.
