Highlands Animal Hospital

Our Bullmastiff got sick on New Year Day (2017) and everyone was closed. We waited until Monday 1-02-17 to bring her to our regular vet who did blood work and told us to bring her to a hospital, she was in critical condition. We brought her to Animal Specialty & Emergency Hospital in Rockledge Florida and they told us that she needed an emergency surgery to remove her ovaries and uterus, and it would be $6893.00 or to put her to sleep, it would be $1000.00. My daughters were crying hysterically asking if they could do the surgery for $5000.00 because this is all they could afford, the Rockledge hospital was so "cold" and showed no compassion or empathy, we decided to try another hospital as a last attempt to save our dogs life. We called Highlands Animal Hospital and talked to Dr. George. He was ABSOLUTELY amazing. He was so compassionate and understanding and said to bring the dog to him, he would stay late (he was suppose to get off at 4pm and this was 330pm) and he would do the surgery and everything in his power to save our dog for $1000.00. My daughters drove 40 minutes, arriving at 420pm. He immediately kicked into action and started attending to our dog. By 7pm he called us with the update that our dog made it through the surgery, and he will keep us posted over the next 24-hours while she is still in critical condition. THANK YOU DOCTOR GEORGE!! We love you and will drive 1.5 hours to bring all our dogs to you!!
