Review: Brought my vehicle in for diagnostic at TMS in Baldwin, Wi. on June 3rd, 2015 after hearing noises. They reported to me that whomever worked on my transmission last had done it incorrectly at the time of service (I had brought it to my local mechanic, [redacted] from OB's Repair in Wilson,Wi., whom had farmed it out to High Gear Transmission in Menomonie, Wi, Nov. 28th 2012. I was charged $2,711.35 at the time) Transmission to Transfer case: missing 2 bolts on bottom, 1 bolt on top loose, Trans mount had 2 broken bolts, 1 loose bolt. Center bolt for transmission mount was installed UNDER transmission mount.Other 2 trans mount bolt heads were broken off. Whatever was left now was barely holding on. TMS wrote this up for me for proof, and gave me the bad part reflecting everything that was wrong. I then spoke to my mechanic, [redacted], told him what TMS said. For a month and a half I was pushed off. Called [redacted] at High Gear Transmission this morning. He was rude, indifferent, and domineering on the phone. I told him I would be contacting Revdex.com, and his response was "So...do it Lady! You are out of line Lady!" He asked me why I didn't have them do the repairs, I responded that after finding out they were responsible for all the trouble in the first place, and that I had no interest in giving them my business, or anymore of my money. My warranty is expired, the repairs I just had done(at TMS) are iffy at best, because there was a metallic/oily substance leaking that they can't be sure of because of the damage from High Gear. I paid 2711.35 to have a Transmission installed incorrectly on Nov.28th, 2012. I have since spent another 402.00 to have it patched up. Roughly $3100.00. [redacted] from High Gear gave my mechanic $100.00 to give to me to appease me, or shut me up, I'm not sure which. The future of my vehicles' transmission is unknown now because of this poor business. High Gear gave no accountability, apology, or reasonable monetary reimbursement. They destroyed my transmission, took my money, and cut me down to size when I confronted them. Nobody is safe from slimy businesses like this.Desired Settlement: My ultimate desired outcome is a full refund, since I paid for a service that cost $2,711.00, and it was done so blatantly wrong (and Transmissions is what they do!). But at the very least I'd like this business investigated, and dealt with, so that nobody else gets taken advantage of.
