Apparently they will say whatever they need to say to get the sale. I was about to back out of the deal due to all the delays and so a concession was made to waive my first few monthly payments for my troubles. The production doesn't keep up with my minimal demand and so I'm actually paying MORE in energy cost with their lease and what I have to pay APS on top of that, some months nearly 3 times my normal bill. I have yet to see reimbursement for the first few months I was supposed to have no bill, the concession made by the salesman. Stuck in a 25 year lease with substandard everything and considerably disenchanted with the entire episode. I strongly recommend you have no dealings with them. They're not there for you when it all goes to pot and you're locked in. Completely dissatisfied.

Terrible company...staff are unable to read the no solicitation signs. Staff solicits non solicitation neighborhoods. Poor business ethic. I would never do business with a company such as this. Strong arm tactics seller.

Started out okay, he answered the phone promptly and answered some questions and helped schedule me right away. He showed up a few minutes early to the appointment, so that was all well. But - there's that but - he offered a system of 9kWh (my county only allows for 10kWh max) at $36,000. The efficiency and overall performance he offered was pretty low. SunPower offered me 6.64kWh (they are the best in the business) for 25,000 which is about the same price per kWh for a far superior company with a great warranty even. I told him I wanted to think about it and he gets up all aggressively and says, "I guess you don't your tax incentive back then, good luck." He proceeds to get to the door and says, " you don't like money, do you?" Like a toddler with a tantrum. He didn't have answers for a lot of the questions I asked that he said he would look into, didn't go over the paperwork with me except the price and system size, and apparently expected that I buy on the spot. He wanted to do a sit down even though I offered to just chat on the phone while I looked around... Pretty immature and a not so great way to do business.

In November 2018 I singed a contract for solar panels to be installed. I was told by Mr. that I would receive a free video door bell and digital wifi thermostat for signing that day. After numerous phone calls, emails and text messages to Mr. and Mr. I have yet to receive the contract or the items promised me for signing. In fact the last two emails and text messages have gone unanswered.
I was also told during the signing and the loan application that happened the same day that my payment for the panels would be a set price per month and would not go up. That was completely false. My payment will go up after 17 months if I do not pay the 30 % of the total loan by then. This is approximately $10,000 that I have to pay at the end of 17 months. This was not disclosed at the time of signing. Had it been I would have never signed anything with them.
After reading other reviews and complaints this seems to be a trend with them.

We have nothing in writing in any of our files stating anything was to be given for free, Mr *** was terminated as a result of this and other complaints that he allegedly promised people stuff. We have also closed our Texas office which has nothing to do with our Arizona office. If promises were made by Bob *** they were made in Texas not Arizona and furthermore they need to be resolved with Bob ***. He is a independent contractor and never was a employee. I never promised any of these items verbally or in writing. Please cantact Bob ***. I'm sure the customer has his phone number.

Customer Response • May 26, 2019

Mr *** acted on the company’s behalf and the company should honor what he promised regardless of whether he was a contractor or full time employee. Him being fired does not matter either. His business card with email has the company domain in it. Furthermore the company is based in AZ and was doing business in Texas. The office in Texas is actually a home and is still listed on the company’s webpage.

Mr. wrote down about the video door bell and thermostat on the front part of the contract that I signed. Which I still do not have a copy of and that issue was not addressed in the response.

The other issue about the deception in the financing and set monthly payment was also not addressed.

High Desert Energy Response • May 27, 2019

As stated before Bob *** is and was 100% 1099. All we do is coordinate the installs, we are not responsible for anything he promised you. He was not a employee and did not act on out behalf. He is working for some company called US Solar. Bob *** owes our company over 8500.00 in cancelled contacts that he was paid up front on. Trust me he burned us a lot more than you. As far as

financing I'm very very certain your payment was completely explained to you, I know this because our office calls every customer and confirms that they understand the federal credits and to make sure they understand that if they don't apply the federal credit back then there payment will go up. We do this so we don't get burned by these individuals like Bob. Trust me we have nothing on paper showing anything that was owed. If there was it would of came directly out of Me ***'s pay and sent to you.

The responses are not acceptable. You refuse to honor a promise that was made by someone acting on your behalf.

Furthermore you state that the salesman, Mr., burned you on cancelled contracts and now owes you money for those that he was paid up front for. Then you state that you are certain that this dishonest salesman explained the financing to me. This did not happen I can assure you. As I said before had that been explained I would never have signed a single thing.

You further state that your company calls every customer to confirm we understand about the financing and the federal credits. That is an outright lie. I never once received a phone call from you, Mr. or anyone associated with your company about it. Once the contract was signed that was the last I heard from anyone associated with your company until I made phone calls. I signed a contract with your company and loan application via docu-sign on the same day. I did not find out about the payment going up until I received via email the loan documents and read over them.

You still refuse to provide me a copy of the contract that I signed with your company.

You refuse to honor promises made by a dishonest salesman that you employed.

You refuse to take responsibility for that salesman NOT ever explaining financing and the payment going up if the federal credit is not applied back.

Mr. Clarence *** came to our home and sold us a Solar for our home. With the promise that if we could give him one referral he would give us $500.00. Which we did, and that person gave him 3 more referrals. When the person we referred to him was all up and running we asked for our $500.00. He told us several time that when he was back in his office he would send it out. That was four months ago. Since that time we have found out from Sunny Energy who he sent our contract to, that he has skipped town. This man is a fraud BIG TIME.

High Desert Energy Response • Feb 27, 2019

This is a false statement. There loan provider is a company called Sunrun. I have now put in no less than 4 separate requests to Sunrun to pay these people there money. I don't know why they haven't gotten a check yet. The loan provider is the company that pays the referral money. And they've told me a check was sent. Months ago.

Customer Response • Feb 27, 2019

I having received a check from either Clarence *** or SunRun.

High Desert Energy Response • Feb 28, 2019

When I return to AZ I'll personally pay them a check out of my own pocket.. this really is a Sunrun issue cuz there the financial company that is supposed to pay referrals. But I'll be back from Texas in 2 weeks and will pay out of my pocket.

Customer Response • Feb 28, 2019

when we see the cash then this will be settled. At first he said this was paid. If we had been paid we would like to see the canceled check. Clarence has not been back to our home since the first visit. We would also like a copy of the contract as we only saw it on his computer.

Customer Response • Mar 11, 2019

It looks like Mr. Clarence *** did a lot of fast talking that he was going to paid the $500.00 when he returned from his trip. However that has been over a week now and I still haven’t heard from Mr.. I pray that my complain will stay on the book to let other people know what kind of person he is. My husband is 83 and Im 79 so I guess we have been taken in by this man. I’m going in for surgery next month and I need that money. I pray you can still do something.

I was promised a $400 visa gift card after install of the panels if I signed "THAT" day. I signed "THAT" day, and after install, no $400 visa. I called several times with no luck, finally getting a hold of Clarence early December. Clarence tells me that my salesman Erik Ecklund no longer works for them, and they "never" had a $400 visa incentive. After talking abut it Clarence says "we will take care of you", give us a call after the holidays and we will get you a visa card. Well needles to say, I have called approximately 25 times since early January (leaving voicemails every call) with no return call.

High Desert Energy Response • Mar 27, 2018

There is not now nor ever has been any such thing as 400.00 dollar gift card. It is against the law to rebate customers. We do not condone the actions of the Salesman and have terminated him for his actions. We apologize for this but again this is a violation of policy and law to rebate a customer to get them to sign a legal contract. This matter is not a valid Revdex.com complaint.

Customer Response • Apr 04, 2018

The fact that High Desert Energy is admitting that it took place, admitting that employees were fired for it, yet doing NOTHING to make the situation right guarantees this complaint is valid. High Desert Energy conducted poor business ethics, and then after the fact said "oh well he wasn't supposed to do that." Who's to say if the employee was truly fired, or if this is just some con to get people to sign up through thier service, later to just say oh well we don' do that.

High Desert Energy Response • Apr 04, 2018

What is the customer willing to except? Money and gift cards are not a option as that will infringe on banking regulations.

Sincerely
