Hercules fitness is the best "small" gym in the areaThe staff is always friendly and helpful and they do their best to keep the gym neat and orderly and the bathrooms fully stocked and cleanThis gym has a comfortable, "safe" environment, unlike a lot of larger chainsThe personal trainers are the best I have ever seen and the prices are very resonableThis is the only gym in the east bay where I feel comfortable leaving my cell phone out, or in a cubby not locked up.I would definitely rat this gym a solid or out of Two thumbs up

BEWARE THEY WILL KEEP CHARGING YOU FOREVER
I was a member for many years while I worked in that area and never had a problemI had to cancel my membership in as I took on another job in the peninsulaJust found out now in that they started charging my credit card again, even though I have not set foot in that gym in yearsThe payments are fraudulent obviously and not even identical, some months it is $60, others $45, etcI called to inquire about the situation and was told that the owner would get back to meOf course he never called me back and I checked Yelp reviews to find out that it is a common fraudulent practice, I am not the only one in that situationHad to call my bank to cancel my credit card and reverse those fraudulent payments, which they were happy to doIt appears they are so desperate that they start charging people again even after they cancelled their membershipI would be very careful, this is a very dishonest practice
