Review: In 2010, I purchased from a HerStyler kiosk vender a hair straightener for the price of $99. The only reason I made the purchase was because the vendor proclaimed that with my purchase I had a life-time warranty in case the apparatus was damaged or broken in the future. One year later the item stopped functioning. I had not dropped it or damaged it, yet it no longer worked. I took it to the same kiosk and told them of my problem, and they said that the vendor had falsely promised and the item was only good for a 6-month warranty. I do not find this fair and was rudely treated by HerStyler employees. I would like some assistance, please. Thank you for your time.Desired Settlement: Replacement or refund of damaged goods.

We are contacting you from the Manufacturer's office of HerStyler Inc.; we are a manufacturer and
wholesale. provider and we sell our products worldwide. The locations are private businesses and we
are not affiliated with them.
In regards to the Complaint • [redacted]; filed on oS/27/2013; we suggest that you contact that
company directly. We as wholesalers are not in any position to impose management regulations or
policies to any of the locations, and that includes the any variation on the warranty they offer to the
retail customers as well.
As the manufacturer, we provide a one year warranty with the purchase of a HerStyler. We also offer
extended warranties that you can acquire with your purchase or any time later if you wish to extended
or if you do not have a receipt or/and are outside of the one year manufacturer's warranty.
Any warranty offered outside of the manufacturer's warranty was provided to you at the vendor's
discretion and as an independent entity. We clearly state in our Warranty and Safety Card that we are
not responsible to such retailer extended warranties or other retail promotions, It's the vendor
obligation's to honor the new tenns and conditions they have established and offered to the retail
customer. We have attached a copy of our Warranty and Safety Card for you records.
Any return must be handled by the original retail location. We will be glad to help the customer get a
replacement. Based on the information provided in the complaint, the customer is out of warranty;
therefore, customer can purchase an extended warranty from us. We offer two (2) options: 1) 1 year
extended warranty for $50.00 plus $12.00 shipping and handling and 2) 3 year extended warranty for
$80.00 plus $12.00 shipping and handling. In order to do so, customer can contact us at ###-###-####.
We are available from Monday- Thursday 9am - 5pm and Friday 9am -3pm
