Mr. [redacted] over the phone with [redacted]. We had no problem paying for any damages that were incurred. The problem arises with the [redacted]’s trying to get Brooks Flooring to pay for a new custom front door when all that had was a basic builder front door. We never saw the damages to the door that they are claiming we ‘destroyed’ but still we offered an extremely generous amount of $2000 for a door replacement plus $110 for the painter. We went to [redacted] with a picture of their original door and asked for a quote for a new one installed. They gave us a written quote of $1275. The [redacted]’s handed us a copy of the bill for the door they purchased and had installed by [redacted] for $5760.56! I have a picture that shows the old door and a picture of the new door, that will say it all. As far at the two installers vs. four installers…apparently the [redacted]’s forgot that they told us that we could only do a portion of the job because their kitchen remodel wasn’t finished. So we sent a smaller crew, when the remaining areas were done we sent a full crew. Mr. [redacted] (claiming to wanting to be professional) was extremely rude in an email to me…stating ‘Ms [redacted] I believe you to be totally clueless’ and ‘you may want to reconsider your position’. Therefore, I handed this over to my attorney, since I apparently am not qualified. Even though I have been in business since 1998 with zero Revdex.com complaints and A+ Angie’s list for the last three years, I must really treat my customers poorly. I am sticking with my settlement offer for $8140.00; if they do not accept, we plan on going to the high court for the full amount due of $10,250.00.
by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. To answer the business owners question, according to the Revdex.com they will act mediator until such time a dispute goes to court which is not until October 6th 2015 at 10:00 am; at that time the Revdex.com will step aside.
