$375 Refund
scammed out of 375 dollars for timeshare advertising fees of over 6000 dollars.
I was contacted by this company who said I was owed over 6000 from the timeshare advertising fees that I had put out. I have not received any communication from the advertising company or any compensation. I am not able to reach them and they collected 375 from me for there fee. When I first contacted them they said it would take a long time but that it would happen but now I cannot reach them at all.
Refund of the 375.00 they took from me.
Help For Families contacted me to offer recovery service for time share fraud. Once paid, they were no longer available to contact in follow-up.
On 4/23/19 we were contacted by Help For Families soliciting their services in recovery of funds we had paid to a Florida business *** that turned out to be a fraudulent time share re-sale service. On 5/13/19 we paid Help For Families the $375 they required in order to assist with our recovery of the fraudulent time share expenses we had previously paid to Resort Equity Marketin...aka *** In return, we were sent a packet of literature containing advice on avoiding fraud, and a "Demand Notice" with instructions for mailing it to SFX Preferr, c/o ACR at PO Box XXXXXX in Gulfport, FL 33747. It was mailed, as instructed, on 6/6/19. Having received no reply or acknowledgement from ACR, I contacted Help For Families for advice or any updates in July, August, September and October of 2019. They did not return phone calls and I found their website (H.F.Families.com) was no longer active. The quarterly updates on the refund progress were never provided. We have not been contacted by Help For Families since sending the Demand Notice. The telephone numbers for them are never answered, but voice mail has been left and no calls ever returned. These are the names and corresponding phone numbers gathered during our interaction: Delores *** and Barbara *** (owners?) at (XXX) XXX-XXXX and (XXX) XXX-XXXX. Jessie *** customer service cell: (XXX) XXX-XXXX. No refund has ever been received, but a letter from ACR was received in November, indicating their client (a Trustee for SFX Preferr) had informed them that SFX Preferr had run out of money to make refunds. I have saved notes and copies of all documents received since the introduction to Help For Families in April, 2019.
A refund of our $375 payment made to Help For Families in May, 2019.
