Helitech did not do a proper job sealing the crawl space from water. A second contractor was required to come in an assess the poor job. Both the homeowner and renter have called Helitech to fix the issues, and Helitech promises to send someone out, but they never do. I am very disappointed in both the quality of the work and the customer service, especially after paying nearly $8,000 to Helitech for the work. I was recommended to this business for its great customer service, but have not experienced it.

RE - Complaint case # XXXXXXX
To whom it may concern,
We would like to request that the Revdex.com close this complaint as we are...
confident that once the facts surrounding this matter are reviewed and understood, it will be confirmed that we have acted according to the standards, as set forth by the Revdex.com, in the actions we have taken with the [redacted]. We are confident that had the [redacted] followed our recommendation and completed the additional recommended work, which extended beyond our original scope, that this matter would not exist.
Mrs. [redacted] entered into a contract with Helitech on August 26th 2013 to install a French Drain (approximately 25' in length) along the outside, rear right corner of a garage, which had been converted into living space / bedroom. The purpose of this drainage installation was to collect and re-direct surface water that was running down a gradual slope towards this area of the house. This work was completed in October of 2013.
We were very clear in our conversations, and in the specific language of our contract with the [redacted], that this type of work did not come with a warranty. Exterior drainage work does not come with a warranty, as standard within the industry, due to the ongoing maintenance required by the homeowner, along with the many varying factors that come into play with surface drainage issues.
On December 23rd 2013, Mrs. [redacted] reported to Helitech that water was entering into her garage/ living space. Shortly after receiving this notification, a representative from Helitech visited with the [redacted] to investigate the issue. During this visit it was determined that the drainage system was functioning correctly, as originally intended however, there was now water coming into an area beyond our original scope of work. This area happened to be where the asphalt driveway meets the garage/ living space. This area, that was being impacted, was originally recommended to be addressed by Helitech's project estimator at the time of the original consultation. Specifically, we discussed the need to have flashing installed to properly protect this area of the home from the water draining off of the driveway.. Helitech again recommended that the [redacted] install flashing in this area and in addition, we provided an estimate at this time to remove a section of the driveway and extend our drainage to this area for an additional cost of $2,500. The [redacted] elected not to follow our recommendation at this time.
In April of 2014, Mrs. [redacted] again called Helitech because she continued to get water into the garage/ bedroom area. Helitech sent a Regional Manager, Mr. [redacted], to meet with Mrs. [redacted] and investigate this issue. Mr. [redacted] found that the previously installed drainage was functioning correctly and that the water was still entering the garage / bedroom in the same place where the driveway meets the garage/ bedroom. It was also noted during this visit that the area had still not been flashed to prevent water intrusion as was previously recommended.
.
It is unfortunate that Helitech and Mrs. [redacted] cannot come to an agreeable resolution to this matter. We have attempted to work with Mrs. [redacted] through recommendations of how she could repair the area herself and we have also provided a written proposal for this additional work which extends beyond our original scope of work.
It is our overriding goal at Helitech to satisfy all of our customer's expectations.
It is unfortunate that the Revdex.com was had to become involved in this case as we have made every effort to reach a workable solution concerning this matter. Please consider our efforts, along with the actions we have taken, and we respectfully request that you remove this complaint from our records.
Please contact me directly with any questions that you may have.
Respectfully

RE - Complaint case # XXXXXXX
To whom it may Concern,
I would like to request for the Revdex.com to review the complaint that was...
registered on 6/29/15, by Mr. [redacted] and then, after considering the facts surrounding this case, to respectfully remove this matter from our Bureau record.
Helitech was contracted to install foundation support piers to stabilize the foundation of Mr. [redacted]'s garage. In addition, we were also contracted to fill the void beneath a section of the garage floor slab and raise this isolated area of the concrete slab.
At the start of the project it was brought to our attention that Mr. [redacted]'s municipality of Creve Coeur, Mo, required a work permit for our scope of work. This was an unintentional oversight on our part and once it was brought to our attention, we immediately obtained the required permit, without hesitation as is standard business practice when required. Though it may have taken some time to get a final inspection accomplished it is completed. Helitech completed all our work on May 10, 2013 under two separate agreements
Mr. [redacted] began contacted us in November of 2013 due to issues he was having with his garage doors. We investigated this issue and found that it stemmed specifically from an electrical issue within the door itself. In an effort to validate the success of our foundation work, we measured and recorded the data from our benchmarks, to ensure that no measureable movement had occurred within our work area. There were no issues discovered with our work area.
On December 17, 2014, Mr. [redacted] notified us to inquire if we may have possibly damaged his sewer line from our work that we completed back in May of 2013. We met with Mr. [redacted] on 12/22/14 to investigate this matter and were able to clearly identify that the location of the issue with the sewer line was nowhere close to the location where we previously installed our piers. (See attached drawing for reference). In addition, the concrete leveling work that we had completed in his garage was on the opposite side of where the damage was identified in the sewer line, plus the depth of the sewer line is 8+ feet beneath the elevation of his garage floor slab.
Mr. [redacted] has also raised concern about cracking within the interior of his home that is completely unrelated to our scope of work and well outside of our foundation repair that was completed on his garage. We are continuing to work with Mr. [redacted] to help him understand the concerns he is having with his home, this may require additional support and / or repair, as it is well beyond our original scope.
In summary, Mr. [redacted]'s home has a damaged clay-tile sewer line, that is 40+ years old, which is susceptible at that age to have problems and issues. This sewer line issue is clearly not related to our work and in addition, our contract which Mr. [redacted] signed, clearly limits us from any and all liability with sewer lines, which complies with the industry standard.
One thing we did note that was interesting, there are concrete patches in the garage floor, directly above the area of sewer pipe damage, where it appears that other work, by other contractors has previously been done at Mr. [redacted]'s home. If Mr. [redacted] continues to go down the path of pointing blame for his sewer pipe issue, then the only logical direction to look is where work was done by others, immediately above the damaged sewer pipe. Mr. [redacted] did not want to discuss this topic.
It is our overriding goal at Helitech to satisfy all of our customers and meet their expectations. We have gone to great lengths to prepare language in our agreements that directly deal with unknown matters, beyond our control, such as a sewer lines and the possibility of damage to underground and unmarked utilities, that may surface in a construction project of this magnitude. In addition our agreements are very specific in limiting our warranty directly to our work area - in this case Mr. [redacted]'s garage and not his home where he is now raising concern.
We respectfully ask that you review the documents we have provided and remove this complaint from our public record as it clearly goes outside of our specific and detailed scope, liability and warranty. We appreciate your consideration in this matter. Please don't hesitate to contact me directly on my cell phone with any questions at XXX-XXX-XXXX.
Respectfully,

Helitech installed a drainage field and 3 pumps in the crawlspace of our house. Their Project Estimator responded very quickly to our request for an estimate and were equally quick in getting their team of installers out to our home. Our house had inches of standing water when they began the work. It was a nasty and laborious installation. However, their team was courteous and professional when on site. They delivered a solution as promised and in a timely fashion. We have had no problems since the installation and would confidently recommend this company.

Helitech did some mud jacking for me on my driveway, sidewalk and patio. Their work crews were very professional and did a terrific job. They also cleaned up the work area before they left. I would highly recommend them.
I am extremely pleased with the foundation work completed by HELITECH and the professionalism of the crew. They were running a little behind but were courteous enough to call ahead and let me know.

To whom it may concern,
Since the project was completed for the [redacted]'s in March of 2014 there has been several instances of leaks that have occurred , around the anchor bolts, at the base of the c channels and at crack locations.
each time there has been a...
leak Helitech has responded to the issue and repaired the leak, with the exception of cracks in the foundation wall that we only covered with hydraulic cement that carried no warranty. The most recent crack that need to be repaired has been completed. we do apologize for the delay in completing this repair.
Respectfully
Helitech customer service manager.
Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Prior to the work done by Helitech to stabilize our foundation we never had any water leakage from the cracks in the east wall of our basement. The leaks only occurred after they worked on our foundation in addition to the leaks around their anchors and beams. New cracks also appeared in the which would the indicate the foundation stabilization is still not totally effective.
They are trying to make it sound like they are doing us a favor when in fact they are just repairing damage their repairs induced.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
I put off waterproofing my basement until I found Helitech. They explained all of my options & really listened to my questions. The work was done well and on time. The new living space is great and has added value to our home.

Sincerely,
[redacted]. I do belive I was mislead, but I intend on having them to install water proofing , only because I still need the work done, and they offerd a small discount for recurring customers.
