* ** *** ** *** *** *** *** * *** The wedding was on 7/23/16.I was notified on 8/7/16.The mail box that is in our banquet hall is used by couples to collect their cards if they chooseThe night of their rehearsal they moved things around and chose to put the mail
box in the front of the hall between tables, one was a candy table the other a gift tableI didn't see them that night, I was at my other building baking their cakeThey could see when they placed the mail box where they wanted it that there was no lock on it or a place for a lock.After I was notified and I contacted the police, my attorney (*** *** ###-###-####), and my insurance agent (*** *** *** *** **. ###-###-####). The police told me that I couldn't report the incident because I was't missing anything. I spoke to my Attorney and he asked me if I was personally in charge of the mail box and I said no it just sits there and people stick cards in itHe told me that unless I was personally in charge of watching the box, I was not responsibleHe asked me if we had discussed any thing about the mail box before the wedding and I told him noI then called my insurance co*** *** and he asked me if anyone had seen anyone take anything out of the mailbox and I said noHe then said that my policy would not cover anything unless there was proof of someone from my company stealing.I spoke with everyone who helped with the wedding that night and they all including myself is willing to take lie detector tests if necessaryBut now that I think about it I think that everyone that said they left money should also take the test. My weddings are very inexpensive and I don't make a tremendous profit from them, so I am not able to give back money that I don't have If anyone has anymore ideas on how to find the person or persons who took their cards I will be happy to help.
