Concern, ...⇄ [redacted], owner of The Heating & Cooling Works, installed a new [redacted] Standard Condenser (which is the part of the air conditioner that is located outside) for the previous owner. I hooked it up to the existing "A" Coil (which is located inside the furnace) at the request of the previous owners. Ms [redacted], who apparently bought the house, called me and told me her AC was not working properly. I went and charged the condenser with freeon, at no charge, and when I left, the condenser was working properly. Ms [redacted] called me back and said her air still wasn't working. I went back a 2nd time at no charge and confirmed the condenser was still working properly. After further investigation I found she was running the unit with no air filter inside which clogged up the "A" coil with dirt (which I did not install). Therefore it was not allowing enough air flow through the coil to give her proper cooling. I explained this to her. and she expected me to clean the A Coil free of charge which is a very timely process. I explained to her I didn't install the "A" coil and I could not do that free of charge. This is several hours of work and is not part of any warranty. If the Condenser Fails under the warranty period, I would fix or replace it immediately at no charge. That is how the warranty works. I have already been out there several times to fix it at no charge because of neglect of running it with no filter. This is absolutely a false claim. Sincerely, [redacted] The Heating & Cooling Works 708-[redacted]
