Heartland was to add about 18 to 24 inches to our wood floor and refinish the entire floor with a color change while we were out of town. Came home to discover they extended the floor more like 30 inches. Contacted them and Jim, who wrote the original bid, was out the next day. He didn't even make it through the front door before UH-OH came out of his mouth. They also had cut the carpet to size for the extended floor which made it much too short for the correct floor length.
Long story short, they redid the floor to the way we wanted it and also paid to replace the carpet that was now too short.
Couldn't ask for better customer service!
Frank,
Thank you so much for the 5 star review! Heartland Wood Floors wants EVERY customer happy and satisfied with their wood floor. While we are very sorry about the carpet - we are very glad we could fix the situation to your satisfaction. Please remember that we do have a showroom for you hardwood cleaning needs.

Worst wood floor ever. It's cupped, bumpy, and split all over. Promise but then send other people out to check. There's still tape on the floor stained into the wood.
Lisa,
We finished your wood floors for your builder in July 2016. And we are sorry to hear they are not meeting your expectations.
As we discussed many times; environmental conditions such as high humidity in the summer, drier air in the winter and living next to a lake---they will all have an effect on your wide plank hardwood floors. All, of which are out of our control. Again, they are environmental conditions. Controlling the humidity levels in your home will more closely meet your expectations and improve the performance of your wood floors.

This is false. The humidity levels have remained the same in our house. You addressed by re sanding and staining. This will not fix a bumpy floor. I do not want anyone to have the same situation. Also before agreeing to wood floors I asked you about the lake and you said if properly installed it won't be a problem. My neighbors have wood floors and no issues. You promised me you'd take care of it. Once you're paid you we're gone. Then you sent out another owner and then the third claim you have a different position. You did not do the right thing. My floors have major gapping and still bumpy from before we moved on. Again future clients I can show the proof.
Again, we are sorry you do not like your hardwood floors. Hickory floors are used by a lot of builders in the Omaha area and are beautiful floors. This is an issue between you and your builder as we were a sub contractor for your builder only. And to our knowledge, we did everything the builder asked HLWF to do.

Heartland wood floors is who did my Wood floor. This is review of that business. We entertain all the time everyone that sees my floor can see how bad they are. My review is true. If I could post pictures on here I would to show how bad they are. I don't want others to be in the same situation. Do not use heartland wood floors. Blaming my sub contractor for your work again shows you have no accountability in your work.
Again, Lisa, please refer back to your builder for other options. Your builder hired HLWF as a sub contractor to do your floors. We were not contracted with you. We do have documentation as to humidity levels in your home at the different times we looked at your floor. We could refinish your floor; however, if environmental conditions effecting humidity issues are not addressed; the results will be the same. Please refer back to my response 4/25/19:

Heartland Wood Floors, put down wood floors in my house, they're awful, they put the wrong color filler in and the filler shows through, there are buff circles all over, they have not held up at all, the color is different in different areas, easily scratched and dentedI sit in my home and everyday I dislike themI would not use Heartland Wood FloorsI have a friend who had the same problem
