I used Adam *** for 3 years as my marketplace agent. The last year he has went downhill substantially. His ability to follow through with returning calls and submitting your required paperwork has diminished and he consistently blames having too many customers as the problem or the Marketplace cant do their job. I wouldn't recommend him anymore unless you don't care about attention to detail and getting calls returned
As an agent we now have to work with the Health Insurance Marketplace (the government) on a daily basis and unfortunately every complaint we receive has to do with the Government Marketplace making mistakes on things we correctly send to them. In this case we submitted all required documents to them and they did not put them in their system, we actually resent 2 extra times because Mr. said the marketplace said they didn't receive them.This caused an issue with his plan and we fixed it to become effective again on May 1 2018 and the Marketplace did not transfer the information to Blue Cross and Blue Shield so he had no active policy. At this point I personally contacted the Marketplace on 5/24/18 and they admitted to their mistake and had his policy expedited to be resent to BCBS with a retroactive effective date of 5/1/18. I advised Mr *** that it would take 5-7 business days and this was dome right before Memorial Day holiday so it may take longer for BCBS to receive it. Mr. contacted me today and was extremely demeaning, condescending and rude to me. He said that he had contacted BCBS and the Marketplace and they said no action was ever taken by me which is untrue. Mr. even had to release to work on his application over the phone with the Marketplace last week, so he knows I contacted them and tried to get this issue fixed. I also apologized to Mr. and explained the situation but he was very upset and didn't seem to care. My office has gone out of our way to help Mr. and we did return all of his calls however it wasn't quick enough for him from what he said. I am sorry Mr. had a bad experience and I hate that the Health Insurance Marketplace does this to people but we are doing our very best to help and assist all our clients on a daily basis.
