My wife took ill overseas during an anniversary trip. I called from the ER.

Told me to save receipts until I got home.
Once home I called and was told they would mail me a form. Wasted 10 days.

Filled out form and waited the requested 30 days. Was told I had filled out the wrong form. (Which they sent me!)

Downloaded proper international form from web and filled it out.

Waited another 30 days only to be told they didn’t have it. Three way call with Heathkeeprs and Global Corp. I was told I left a spot blank on the form which I offered to give that info but Global Corp said they discarded my form and I had to resubmit. A responsible company would have contacted me to let me know.

Two weeks later I am told it was approved and a payment for $9200 would be directly deposited into my bank account in 7-14 days

16 days later I’m told it is still in process and can take 30 days.

I asked for this to be escalated to a manager and after being on hold the Customer representative said the manager reviewed my file but couldn’t speak to me and said that she couldn’t circumvent the process.

To date it has been 4 1/2 months and they are saying it can take another 30.

I have heard from Anthem's contractor--they apologized for the inconveniences and let me know that I would receive a $gift card in to weeksWhile I have yet to receive it, I consider my complaint addressed.Many thanks for your kind, professional assistance in this matter!
