Ms. [redacted]
The credit bureaus can take up to 30 days to update their files. We have no control over when they will update their information. Thanks

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

Ms.[redacted]Our file with your deletion was submitted to the credit bureaus and again it can take them up to 30 days to update their records. Thanks

Ms. [redacted]
We have closed and returned this account to the original creditor. We will also report this account as a deletion to all three credit bureaus.

Thank you

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference,...

details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The business may have confirmed to my bank that this debt was paid, but that is not the same thing as providing me with a receipt that shows a zero balance. If this debt should happen to appear on my credit reports in the future, I have no way of showing that it was paid if full. I want something, in writing, sent to me by mail or email, that shows that this debt is resolved. Even having the payment to HCI showing on my bank statement is not sufficient proof that this debt was paid, because the original debt was discounted so the payment is for a different amount than the original debt. Also, the payment could have been for another debt, altogether. I want proof, in writing from HCI that this debt was considered paid in full.

Regards,

The business HCI needs to take responsibility to verify debts before inputting them into their collection system for collection purposes.  Media is provided by companies in order to verify debts.  If they have not, that is the problem of the collection agency not the agency who made the original mistake to begin with.  I considered this matter as closed and the collection company to be a joke.

Mr. [redacted],I sorry I misunderstood how you contacted us. I have closed and returned this account and it will be reported as deleted to all three credit bureaus at the beginning of August. If you have any questions please contact me at ###-###-####Thank you[redacted]

Our office only has record of one communication with the complainant, which occurred on 4/14/2014. He left a message on our office voicemail, requesting a call back at the number he provided in the complaint. Our staff attempted to reach him by phone on 4/14/14 at 10:18 a.m. Our phone call was not...

answered. The complainant did state in his voicemail that he had insurance coverage for his date of service. However, the timely filing limit for this account was three (3) months after the date of service. Per our notes and the original creditors notes, the complainant did not provide insurance information prior to the expiration of the three month filing limit.Per the original creditor's notes, the complainant did not present insurance information on the date of service, and was told that his account was considered a self-pay account until his insurance information was provided. The original creditor called the complainant on 8/6/12 to ask him to apply for [redacted], since he did not present valid insurance information at the time of his visit. The notes state that the complainant refused to apply. The original creditor spoke with the complainant again on 10/17/12 to advise him of his balance. The complainant stated that he would call back with his insurance information. The original creditor has no record of the complainant calling back prior to the account being placed for collections with our office on 12/27/12.If the complainant has record of providing his insurance information to the original creditor prior to the expiration of the three (3) month filing limit, he can provide it to us directly at HCI, [redacted], or via fax at ###-###-####.

HCI does not place accounts in collections. We are a collection agency and we receive accounts from creditors. The creditors are the ones that decide on which accounts to place in collections. HCI follows all collection laws, as we believe we did in the case of this account. Any questions regarding why this account was placed in collections will need to be directed to the original creditor, as HCI did not make that decision.

They did not respond to whether or not they had reported my number to any or all of the credit bureaus. I want them to state what the status is on that question. Also they are misrepresenting their deletion of my phone number. Their statement is that they deleted the number 0n 3-3-2015. This is a false statement. They last called me on 3-4-2015. I don't see how this happened unless my number was still in their database. Let me know if the number was given to any credit bureau or agency and what is the real date my number is supposed to have been removed and I'll close this complaint.

Regards,

Mr. [redacted],I mailed you an itemized statement and a letter on 04/20/2015 to [redacted]. If this is the incorrect address please let me know and I can remail to a correct address. Thank you

[redacted],We cannot confirm with our client, [redacted], that you and the insurance made payments to bring your balance to $0.00. Since this is the case we are closing this account in our office andwill report that this trade line be deleted from your credit at end of this month. Thank you,[redacted]

Regards,

It does not matter what the original creditor did.  The fact the collections company placed something or threatened to place something in collections without verifying the media which should have been provided is uncalled for and possibly illegal.  When a collection agency acts, it should be based upon the verification of the debt.  In this case they should have viewed the medical explanation of benefits in which the diagnosis and procedure can be blacked out.  HCI is irresponsible at the very least for NOT doing this.  Simply washing their hands as if the problem is solved when it is not is not acceptable.  THEY OWE ME AT THE VERY LEAST AN APOLOGY

The payment was made 1/5/16. I was told when I made the payment that it would be updated the first week of Feb. I contacted each credit...

reporting agency today (2/8/16) and not a single one has received any sort of update from Healthcare Collections LLC. I have attached the letter I received after being harassed by the supervisor on 2/5/16. This is causing me to lose my earnest money and the home in which I have an offer on! Their business practices are completely unethical!

In response to [redacted] complaint, the original creditor recalled the account from our office. The account referenced in the complaint for [redacted] is no longer at Healthcare Collections. If [redacted] would like more details, please contact the original creditor.

Cordially,

Ms. [redacted] We did receive your settlement requests and informed you with a letter dated 03/12/2015, that we cannot accept those amounts per our client’s guidelines. We also informed you in the letter that once the accounts are paid in full we will report them as “Paid” to all three credit...

bureaus.  We will not be returning these accounts to the original creditor nor will we delete them from your credit. Thank you Mac J[redacted]

The business reports that the debt was reaffirmed on 12/06/15. However, when they received my request on 12/21/2015 they did not have the necessary documentation to provide validation. I would like to know how the debt was validated on 12/06/2015 without any documentation to confirm such validation? HCI has never reported this debt to me nor could they provide the requested validation with the 30 day time period as required by law. If HCI claims that the documentation was submitted in accordance to applicable laws I would also like proof by way of tracking number. I have retained proof of all mailing including mailing and delivery dates which can be verified with the USPS.
I am demanding that this illegitimate account is removed from my credit report and further attempts to collect this debt is ceased, otherwise I will unjustly incur further damages from the misrepresentation and violations of the application federal and commercial laws governing debt collection.

Mr. [redacted],We are going with the information that our client gave us and the balance of $56.50 is still due. You can pay this by contact us at 602-445-1984 or mailing your payment to [redacted].Thank you
