HB Boys of Fall

Review: My 12 year old son was recruited to join a Huntington Beach Boys of Fall flag football team by some of the other players on the team as well as by their coach [redacted]. Registration was already closed for the season however my child was asked to take the place of a player who was injured. Later, we were told that my son was actually not going to replace the injured player and that we would have to pay for a new spot on the team. I hesitated because of all the erroneous info but by this time my child was excited and wanted to play. I wrote a check for $205 to "Boys of Fall" without signing any contract or agreement. My son never got a chance to play in a game before he got injured (in a separate incident) and was unable to complete the season. When I told the coach that my child couldn't play due to a broken finger, he stopped returning my calls. I contacted [redacted], the president of the organization to ask for a refund and was told that my son could "probably still play with a broken finger". After much debate with [redacted], he finally agreed to send me a full refund however that never happened. I called numerous times, left numerous messages as well as emailed several times however all attempts to make contact have been ignored by HB Boys of Fall. I then attempted to go to the address listed on the website but it was closed and appeared to be either abandoned or under construction and there wasn't anyone there to speak to or to address my inquiries. HB Boys of Fall basically took my money, provided absolutely no service for it and will not respond to my repeated requests for the refund that is owed to me.Desired Settlement: $205.00 Refund
