My wife and I want to share our terrible experiences with Mark Guagliardo and his companies Hawaii Real Estate Team and Hawaii Flat Fee Real EstateWe found a buyer for our Kihei home, then hired Guagliardo to help us through the escrow processNot long after we started, Guagliardo became negative, derogatory and confrontationalIt did not feel like he was on our team or even helping us1) We felt that Guagliardo did not negotiate diligently on our behalfHe basically suggested we accept everything the buyer requestedFrankly, it seemed that Guagliardo was just interested in finishing the escrow process at our expense When we mentioned this to other realtors, they were surprised that he did not negotiate things like the list of buyer’s repairs2) We lost complete trust in Mark GuagliardoFor example, we gave him a copy of the house key so he could allow an inspector into the house during our absenceAfter we requested four times the key be returned, he refused to return the keyAt the advice of our attorney, we rekeyed the house at our expense3) Not only was his attitude negative, demanding and confrontational in his communications, he would provide us with conflicting instructionsWhen I would show his emails with conflicting instructions, Guagliardo replied "don't try to deceive me."
4) At the suggestion of our real estate attorney, we fired Mark GuagliardoI must say, that was a huge relief not to deal with his negative, overbearing, conflicting and derogatory communications any longerWe smoothly closed Oct 10, 2016, on schedule without Guagliardo’s helpWe have many emails corroborating all of the above and many more issues
