We purchased a Hastens mattress from the flagship Hastens store in Toronto in 2015. In August of 2018, we noticed that there was significant sagging in the bed where we each sleep. We perform ALL of the required maintenance for the bed. We flip the mattress at least once a week and poke, push and roll the top cover 3-5 times a week. None of this has worked. The bed is clearly sagging. We emailed Hastens on August 11, 2018 to initiate a warranty claim. They did nothing to respond correctly to this emails. After a dozen emails, I finally got connected with a US sales person who promised to come and inspect the mattress by November 2018. That inspection never happened. I sent another string of emails and finally got connected to an Area Manager. She had someone from a local Vancouver store come and inspect the mattress on January 27, 2019. He concurred that the state of the mattress was unusual. We were assured by the Area Manager that she would take care of it. She apologized for their utter lack of attention and promised us some action. That email was dated February 4, 2019. I have sent multiple follow up emails and have left multiple voicemails. There has been ZERO response since February 4, 2019. It is now the end of April, 2019. We are so very disappointed with this product. We paid $36,000 for a Hastens mattress because my husband has suffered awful sleep issues. A big selling feature of this ultra premium mattress was the unique 25 year warranty. This was pushed heavily as a benefit of this mattress. We have a warranty issue and we can't even get the company to respond to our request much less honour the warranty for our defective product. We can't even get them to respond to our emails anymore. This isn't very surprising as we also had issues with them when we purchased the mattress. They promised a delivery before our moving date and then tried to change it by over 6 months. It was only resolved when we threatened to file a complaint with *** to cancel the sale.

The mattress that we purchased is backed by a 25 year warranty. We initiated this complaint with Hastens when the mattress was less than 3 years old. We have had the mattress inspected by a representative of their company. He confirmed, both verbally and by email, that there was clearly something wrong with our mattress and it wasn't usual for the Hastens mattress to sag like that especially with regular maintenance. We would like Hastens to honour their warranty and replace our mattress.

We are an independent furniture store that carries the Hastens brand. We have not been contacted by *** and ***, and have never dealt with them. They seem to have purchased the mattress before we became re-sellers for Hastens. I am assuming the Hastens corporate store reached out to the Vancouver dealers, since the client is in Vancouver to help resolve the issue. Normally Hastens gets a local dealer to resolve the issue. We have not heard of this issue, and the client would have to contact the local Hastens dealer for this.
