Review: This business ([redacted] has been my sole contact regarding this matter) has refused to return and/or ensure the return of a $950 security deposit for a rental at [redacted], Goleta CA which was originally supplied by me to enable my daughter, [redacted], to attend college in the Santa Barbara area. [redacted] properly vacated the residence several months ago and even though [redacted] agreed to return the deposit, in November 2014, and even went so far as to inform me that she had issued the deposit return via her Wells Fargo account, no check has ever been received. I have repeatedly sent email to [redacted] at her business address of [email protected] requesting follow up information to resolve this matter. [redacted] inferred that the check amount for $950 had been debited from her account and yet [redacted]/we never received or cashed any such check. If the check was actually debited from [redacted]'s account then this would represent forgery by someone forging my daughter's signature. I have asked [redacted] several times for a copy of the back and front of the check so that I could initiate forgery proceedings. She has ignored these requests and also refused to provide the actual street address for which she said the check was issued. Both of these pieces of information should be readily available from Wells Fargo.Desired Settlement: 1.Option 1: This Option is for the case that the checked was forged with [redacted] signature: I request a copy of the front and back of the cashed check and the address for which the check was sent.2.Option 2: This Option is for the case that the check was never sent or has not been formally cashed.Please issue a check to [redacted] Steiner at the following address to close out this issue.
