On Feb 22, 2019, my car bumped onto some unknown object on the road, and it caused a hole on the gas tank, we contacted my insurance company(safeco) on the same day, and chose Havey's auto service as the repair shop. Feb 27, 2019, Safeco inspected the car and issued Havey's auto service to start the repair. One month later, we still did not hear any news from the shop, we started calling the shop from time to time to check the repair status, we kept being told by the shop that they are investigating why the car can't be started after they replaced the gas tank. April 9th, we contacted Safeco and get approved to change to *** to investigate the issue, from the initial investigation of *** bellevue, they actually found that the liquid in current gas tank contains 90%+ water(there is an official chemical test report done by Safeco). Safeco immediately closed the case because they concluded that the water can't be related with original collision since that is the new gas tank replaced by Harvey's auto service. At the same time Harvey's auto service refused to be responsible for this, while *** bellevue urge me to either pay for the investigation cost($1287.00) and take the car somewhere else, or issue them to proceed with further investigation and repair. We had multiple rounds of discussion with Havey's auto service, but can't get them to be responsible for the issue caused by their repair. On Sep, 2019, I have to pay the $1287.00 to *** of bellevue and tow the car back to Harvey's auto service for them to continue repairing, since then, Harvey's auto service shop has been telling us they are investigating, and after another 4 months of waiting, we are highly suspect they are not acting properly in this case.
It's been almost 1 year since we sent our car into Harvey's auto service, and they had problem of fixing the car in the first place, and refuse to admit and be responsible for the obvious mistake they made during repair, and now they have been dragging my case endlessly.
the customer has decided to take it to dealer for second opinion on why it didn't run, dealer answer water in fuel, it ended up staying at dealer over 6 months, dealer says water in gas, we had gas tested, no water in gas, we took the gas from hos car into another car and it ran fine, also we payed for towing to dealer and back to our shop, we have more then fair to resolve this issue
