after years of loyal business with Haftford Insurance my home owners insurance has been canceledThe reason given was a porch without a railingwhich has been fixed as quickly as possibleand the invoice sent to Hartford proving thisThey have stated that in there were several weather related claims and this is related to the decision to cancel my homeowners insurance after all these yearsBeing years old and a widow I find this very disturbingI became involved with Hartford through AARP and therefore assume that a good portion of these referrals from AARP are older customers like myself and are in the same danger of this type of treatmentThe Hartford want premiums it seems but does not seem to want you to use the insurance for legit lossesWho can control the weather of course the answer is no one so all their customers are in danger of the same treatmentHave tried to talk to Hartford about this but they are adamant about thisIt is a shame that this type of business exist and that they are allowed to do this to the elderly
