My family and I went to Harry’s Seafood Bar and Grille, and to get straight to the point, I was NOT satisfied with my meal, nor was I satisfied with the customer service that I received from management when responding to this issue. I ordered my meal which was $19.99, however, not only was the fish e trembly small in portion, but my side dish of the smashed tasted overly spicy and had undercooked onions. I informed the waitress and she asked if I wanted another side, and I asked her for the red beans and rice instead. She brought them out, and they smelled AND tasted Burnt. I even had one of my sisters to smell it, and confirmed that I was not lying about the food quality being poor. I asked to speak to the manager and when he came out he informed me that the fish size could not be helped, and that the sides are apart of the meal. I did NOT eat the full piece of fish nor did I eat the sides because of the state they were in, but the man aged still persisted to tell me that I had eaten the protein so the meal was basically the cost of the protein itself so I had to pay full price, which is beyond unfair, and poor customer service due to my inconvenience. I was offered to get another side, however, at that point I was upset at the manager’s lack of caring.
I KNOW that managers have the ability to make decisions above and beyond but this manager just kept Defending and did not consider my inconvenience, nor did he care. He mentioned that the red beans and rice are “smoked”. There is a BIG difference between smoked and BURNT. My meal was under par, and I even asked for the manager to come out again so that I could speak to him and this time he spoke to me in a very condescending tone saying “I said before that the protein is basically the main meal and has to be paid for in full”. His attitude was poor, and he spoke down to me as if I was Beneath him.
At that point, I told him I’d like for someone to bring me my check so that I could pay and leave. He was rude and avoided me on purpose.
