We purchased a Harris Doyle model home in Auburn after falling in love with the designThere's a saying "beauty is only skin deep" and we are living itIf homes had a lemon law, ours would qualifyIt has now been months since we moved in and we shave holes in our walls, unresolved punchlist items, significant framing issues (no two windows in our house are the same size) kitchen cabinets that need to be replaced, bent windows and frames that require replacement, paint and trim issues etc my wife and I speak to Harris Doyle on a weekly basis urging them to resolve problemsThey send subs when it's convenient for them and they typically leave with more damage than repairIt has been the single most discouraging event in home buying that we have ever experiencedThey treat customers as if the problems are somehow not their problemWhen they do schedule repairs, they fail to show up on timeThey spend an inordinate amount of time placing blame on their subs or the homeownerAfter getting to know our neighbors, it's clear we are not the only ones experiencing this lack of effort, professionalism and disrespectOn a recent call with Mr ***, when I asked him to personally come see the issues we were reporting, he responded he doesn't work on Saturday's yet when they send their subs to patch our house, Saturday's seem to be completely acceptable and we should be thankful We are limited in taking legal action due to the "limited warranty" contract we signed at closing This has been a half million dollar learning lesson and I hope anyone looking to purchase from them reads this firstThey market themselves as ethical, compassionate and professional They are for and I don't anticipate a positive outcome
