Only giving one star because I have toI looked up this salon online since I'm from out of townI had a Brazilian wax done by Kathy, the manager/owner of the salon and it was easily the worst experience of my life and the worst $I ever spentI'm a licensed cosmetologist myselfSo I am very aware of State sanitary requirements and let me just tell you, they could easily get written up for violating some basic sanitary codes
As for the service, it was as if I was a model at a cosmetology school, you would have thought this was Kathy's first wax she had ever givenI've been having Brazilian waxes done for years, from several different establishments and never had an issue and mind you they don't cost anywhere near the expensive $price tag Harmony chargesI had to lay on a REUSABLE mat that only God knows if it was clean, but it did have wax on it from othersNormally people use throw away paper to cover their waxing tablesThe brazilian wax was painful, although I didn't complain there and should have, and I was extremely sore the next dayKathy went over several of the same areas (which you're not supposed to do) and couldn't remove the hair quickly or efficientlyIn addition there was so much hair left, I called for a refund being that any other place I went would charge me full price to correct her mistakes
I called and left a message and no one respondedSo I continued to callBy the time someone answered I had returned back to my home state and just requested a refund, although initially I was willing to come back in and have a different waxed fix Kathy's errorsI have texts saying that the check would be mailed out August 17thAnd the check was never mailedOn August 29th they said they had never mailed the check and that checks are sent out monthly and would be mailed out ThursdayIt's now September 11th and I had yet to see any mail
I tried multiple times to talk to Kathy one on one, and you would think as the person who gave the service and the manager/owner she would take responsibility and speak to me, instead she has chosen to go through others and lie about when and if I'll ever see a refundI've never received a phone call from her to this day, only from her staffAs a business owner in the beauty industry myself, you take accountability for YOUR salon and you speak to your customers whether they're happy or upset, you don't go hide in a corner never to be heard fromKathy's tactics are extremely unprofessionalIf you're not going to refund, just say soLying on top of the unprofessional service is not a good look
Do yourself a favor and avoid this placeThere are better places with better waxers, in a more clean environment, for a cheaper price elsewhere
