We have used Harmon and Sons for a few years, during which nothing but problems. They kept giving reasons as to why the service was poor. Things like; they're new employees (which happened a lot), sorry we were so late the last job took longer than we thought. Other times, they just didn't show up and we would have to call.
They would omit our house on their route for aeration, we would call, and they said; well, we have to them all at once because we rest the machine and loading and uploading is difficult. We will have to get you next time. Seriously!? I pay you for lawn treatments and you can't even do your job?
Today; was spraying for ants outside only (usually we would have pest control inside and out, but due to the pandemic, I am high risk as I have no immune system, we told them outside only to avoid contact). We have camera's all around the property that crisscross so we pick up everything.
Keny was the tech that came out. He sprayed very little, didn't do the job we pay them for. He spent more time on the bill than actual spraying. He was out there working for 2 minutes. NOT exaggerating! So, we called the company explained everything
They said they had left him specific instructions and notes on the order (There are a few problem areas that we needed specifically done). They said they would send Keny back out, he will knock on the door and we could show him the spots we have trouble with.
Over an hour later he comes back, doesn't knock on the door, but we have camera's, so saw him. Go outside to speak with him and show him the couple of spots. He then starts to yell, point at places he claims to have done (remember the camera's?) and states he will not do more. Tried telling him what the lady said that we had spoken to and tried to show him the small areas needing treatment. He started getting louder and said it wasn't what he was trained to do, and he wasn't going to spray everything. He said if we have ants that's our problem. Hello; thats why we hired a "professional" company to control.
We had to tell him to leave the property (trying to give enough info here without too long, but people deserve details). After he left we called the company. This time the "manager", Patrick was his name I believe. (Remember; I just got yelled at, pointed at and dealt with a biligerant employee, so I'm very upset.) I tried telling him about the event.
He stated; he had spoken to Keny and he of course had a different story, and I could tell by his tone and the things he said, that my side would mean nothing. He stated I was being rude to him, and I apologized and stated I was upset and not trying to take it out on him, but instead was trying to relay the events.
Anyone who has been yelled at, pointed at, and embarrassed in front of the neighborhood would have the same reaction. Not once did he apologize for his employee, or the lack of service we received both times. Instead he turned the blame at us, the customer (That has visual and vocal evidence of the whole thing!!!)
In the end; we discontinued our services and the manager didn't even care. I'm glad they have so much money they can afford to throw away customers. At least now we won't have to deal with the missed appointments, the no call no shows, all the new employees, excuses and inflated prices! Beware if you decide to try their services.
I have paid for their lawn service for 4 years. The first 2 years the service was good. I have pets so I asked them to call before they arrived which then did, for 3 years. I occasionally had to call them back to spray weeds along the edge of the lawn or if the product didn't have a chance to activate because of weather. One time the yard gate was left open. Another time the curb and gutter sprayed to kill the weeds.I watched them put the pellet fertilizer on my lawn and he missed a large area. I could see the tracks in my lawn where they walked with the fertilizer spreader. They also didn't spray the weeds along the edge. I called the office to ask them to complete the services I pre-paid for and was hassled by the owner about me calling to have them come back. She said that I am being "demanding" and "can't be satisfied". The co-owner came out and apologized for the poor job that was done and came out with the crew and made sure the job was done right the following Monday. Thank you! My lawn looks as good as it did when I first started Harmon's, service. The owner refunded the remaining credit on my account. I guess she felt they couldn't provide good service so she freed me of her poor customer service. I hope more people start calling them back when they don't receive the services they pay their hard earned money for.

Unfortunately, you can not please everyone. I tried to do everything in my power to "fix" this with Ms.. In July, we fired Ms *** as a customer, gave her the money back that was in her account as a prepay, and I sent out an owner to make sure her lawn was treated appropriately. She was happy when we left. We still service her parents, along with several of her neighbors. I am sorry for her continued inconvenience.
