Review: [redacted]
On Sept [redacted] I purchased a 2001 road king from Harley Davidson of NYC. I had previously visited the dealership on 2 other occasions to look at this motorcycle. On the fist visit I was going to test drive the motorcycle when a fellow rider noticed the bike was leaking oil. I was told by the salesman that he would have a mechanic look at it right away. I agreed to come back the following day. When I returned 2 of my friends who both ride came with me. As I took the bike for a test drive I felt something on my left pants leg. When I looked down I noticed I had oil on my pants leg and on my boot. (Which I still have).
Once again the sales man swore they would look at the bike and fix anything that was wrong. After some paperwork issues the dealership had I returned about a week later. I was told that the bike was looked over by 2 mechanics and the service manager. I had brought another friend who rides to check the bike out with me. After singing the paper work to purchase the bike my friend took a look at the bike, and he immediately noticed that one of the pipes was loose. Once again I was told we will fix it. Then as we reached the front of the bike he heard a knocking sound upon telling the sales man and the managing mechanic I was told to ride the bike home and write down any problems .
On Sat the ** of Sept I decided to ride the bike to work. While riding the bike it completely shut off on me. I put less than 60 miles on the bike After relying on friends for help I was able to get the bike off the high way. I notified the dealership and they picked it up. I went to the dealership and they said they would look it over. On Mon the **, the dealership called me and said they were going to get me into a different bike. I went down and we agreed on a 2009 Dyna which was more money. I signed the paper work and left a deposit. On Tues the [redacted] they called me and said the road king was in an accident. I went down there and they told me they would not fix anything. And that I was on my own. At no point was this bike in any accident.
I have since received only one call which they threatened to start charging me storage fees. And as of yet I have still not been refunded the down payment on the second bike.
I have been paying the bank for a motor cycle I don't have. I would appreciate your assistance about this
matter. Thank you, [redacted]
